ECO TOUR PART I ~ PARK OF BIRDS

It happened to take me a bit more time to be ready with this post, but here it is, at last - the first part of our EcoTour in Russia. We took 2 excursions on the same day as it was offered by an excursion bureau, since the two destinations are located not far from each other and about 1,5-2 hours from Moscow.
Park of Birds is the official name of the reserve, but some animals are also living there. More than 200 species of birds from almost all over the world - parrots from South America and some birds from Amazon area, pigeons, peacocks, ostrichs, chickens and birds of prey are all there, in the green area of 12 hectares!

The weather was hot on that day, about 35C, but reserve inhabitants could easily find a cool shade when they needed, not the same, however, about their visitors. And after 1,5 hrs of walking under the burning sun among open-air cages we dropped by a cafe right on the reserve territory, where we were served an impressive portion of omelette made from an ostrich egg! Though it was really yummi, especially for such eggs lovers as we are:), but we didn't notice it tasted even a bit differently from an ordinary chicken omelet.

Well, now let me share with you some photos I have made during our walk there! It's a big bunch of photos, so I'd suggest you make yourself comfortable with a glass of juice in front of the screen and accompany me in this virtual colorful tour :)

The peacock has greeted us opening his luxurious fantail once we approached the cage!

This one, I think, tried to scare us with its dance and was even hissing!
Isn't he/she magnificent?!

This badger looked out to inspect what was happening outside there. After a short while, suffient for me to make a snapshot, he\she returned, grumbling, to quarreling with the other badger. The sun was at its peak and we sprinkled a bit of our drinking water over them - they were happy ;)
