DARK VILLAGE IN UKRAINE

This village with a rustic slavic spirit of elder days is located in Ukraine, near Kiev. I like how the images are processed -phantasmal silhouettes of trees overflowing from the misty fog and dramatic sky colors- an excellent place for shooting a mystic movie, isn't it?!

I AM BACK and with a dessert =)

It seems forever since I blogged last time, but I'm back, at last :) I can't believe calendar already proclaiming the end of August! I hope you enjoyed your summer immensely and let's keep on being open for the most wonderful things awaiting us in the coming seasons as well!
The reason of my long absence was due to force-majeur circumstances - a terrible heat, around 40C every day, without a single drop of water from heavens, attacked the city! It was absolutely impossible to use computor in that periode as it got badly heated after a couple of minutes of work.
I always say that I love when it's hot, but I never imagined myself stuck for a month of unbearable heat in Moscow area with a heavy poisonous smog making it worse -a constant smell of burning and off-white shroud in the air never abandoned the capital for many weeks!
The moors were burning fiercely and unfortunatelly serious measures were not taken in time. Many forests suffered and there're villages completely burned down. Though, they say new houses are soon to be built by the government for those who have lost their homes. I once personally called a local fire service to inform about 3 hotbeds of fire that we spotted in a woodland next to our house. Firemen reacted fast and luckily it was all over soon, without any unpleasant consequences.
Fortunatelly we managed to stay at least some weeks away from such an anomalous for this area weather conditions and had a lovely summertime with a lot of daily bathing, yay! Now, back in town, we enjoy comfortable temperatures and warm sunny weather. And to celebrate the starting of a "velvet" season, a fine raspberry rhubarb dessert was chosen. This, however, is not my official recipe sharing but more like sharing an idea of a recipe.

Dessert

Making cream: Warm 1dl of pasteurized cream and 150-200g of grated white chocolate, constantly stirring. Remove the mixture (it should be rather thick) from heat and add 1 1/2tbsp butter.
Final step: Put any fresh or frozen berries or juicy fruits (I used raspberries and rhubarb) into glass dessert bowls and coat with a cream. Serve cool. Makes about 4 portions or very big two!;)

You see it's really simple, light and yummi, and quick to make! I think, it'd be also a good saver if you happen to receive pleasant but unexpected guests :)

Well, I am eager to read everything I 've missed while I was out! Now I plan a regular posting and I have a lot to share with you! Have a beautiful day/night, my dear friends, and see ya soon ;)
