AVOCADO and GRAPEFRUIT SALAD

Avocado, aka butter fruit, should seem to be such a good companion to many ingredients, so it's rather strange that most of the avocado featuring recipes I've ever met are very similar - oranges/grapefruits and shrimps, slightly varying in the rest of ingredients.
My present version is one of this classics too, even without shrimps, but all the ruse here is in the special seasoning.

Grapefruit Avocado Salad
Serves 2
Ingredients

2 ripe avocados
 1 large red grapefruit
*
 1/2 tbsp Dijon mustard
1 tbsp lemon juice
2 tbsp olive oil
salt to taste
black pepper

Directions
  1. First, let's make the seasoning: Put the mustard, lemon juice, salt and pepper in a small bowl, blend with the olive oil and set aside for about 10 min.
  2. Slice the peel off the grapefruits and release the grapefruit segments.
  3. Avocado flesh darkens quickly, so be sure to slice avocados right before serving.
  4. Arrange the avocado and grapefruit on the plate. Pour the seasoning on top and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
* The seasoning proportions are not strict, so you might want to slightly increase or decrease something according to your taste.
