After centuries of banned Christmas festivities by the Puritans, New Englanders have since embraced the holiday with enthusiasm. Period homes boast pine wreaths, elaborately decorated Christmas trees and nostalgic found objects. Take a look at some of our favorite New England holiday decorations. Thanks for letting me share!

A pair of ice skates is the focal point of this holiday wall hanging. It is both unique and nostalgic.

An 1815 Cape-style cottage is decorated for Christmas and made cozy by a roaring fire. Antique furnishings complete the look.

A tiny village is decorated for the holidays complete with an ice skating rink and pine trees. We especially love the little lights decorating the homes.
