NEW SPRING COLLECTION by DAY Co.

I found this beautiful collection by a Danish company Day through Style-files. Though it seems to be unavailable for on-line shopping, but at least the idea is appealing and I would definitely like to have some items similar by colors and style.

These plaids, candle lantern and cosy textile accessories are wonderful for a romantic walk and little picnic near the water on a cool foggy morning...!

The cushions happen to be an interesting blend of oriental and scandinavian moods

I've just found these alluring images of my favourite European actress Monica Bellucci and couldn't stop myself from sharing it here!

Well, frankly speaking I may not often like the roles she chooses but I always love her looks and style, dignity and gracefulness she holds herself with, her quiet, soft catlike manners and captivating feminity... 

And she's simply gorgeous in this "gypsy style" photosession for an italian magazine CHI (unknown issue of 2006 )!

By the way, Monica is now expecting her second child! So, sending lot's of positive wishes her way!

ON A SWEET NOSTALGIC NOTE...

This time let's catch some inspiration in Sweden! The original article appeared to be in Swedish but with the help of the google translator we are lucky to know a bit more about this beautiful house than the images can tell. The owners of this old fish house, Hanni and Steffen, love things with patina which they usually find at any antiques markets in Sweden, Belgium and France.

I like the predominance of calm white, shabby textures, glasses with fresh flowers from the garden all around the house - such a charming spirit of olden times!

I'm so much amazed by this old white lacy staircase from Romania... as if coming from a fairytale, isn't it gorgeous?!


My imagination leads me far beyond this romantic corner by the door and I can nearly smell the freshness of the cool morning and hear the light pattering of raindrops on the leaves in the garden...

The center point in the dining room is an old French table with chairs and an exquisite Danish crystal chandelier.

The acqua painted old chair serves as a bookcase.

Hanni has converted a guest room into a bedroom for her grandchildren filled with darling toys, most of which are second hand. Mmm... humming top... I also had one! I wonder if they are still being produced? And these lovely cushions, I bet I saw them in Ikea!:)

The shower-bath in the open air is handy after coming from the beach. The small house is used as a laundry room.

The roof of the little summer-house is covered by wisteria. It must be so spectacular view when the "lilac rain" of its flowers in full bloom is falling down the roof!

At last I am back after about two weeks break and hope you've been doing very well all this time! My today's post has come out to be very light-minded and is about a spring mood I'm in which involves experiencing lot's of wodnerful things like:

breathing in the aroma of mimosas...

living in green interiors...

listening to Salma Agha ...

wearing shining yellow and watching the world through the rose colored glasses to see how everything really is...;)

This is my Inspirational Board of a Shopaholic for March. Shopping is a small pleasure I refused to please myself with for the whole winter! No, I don't regret, as sincerely speaking I am not a shopping maniac at all. Though there are some special shops (not in ordninary shopping malls) which I like to visit for pleasure but usually when I go shopping I always have a picture in my mind of what I'm looking for. So no romance in it, just a "veni vidi vici" campaign:)

Back to the "board", I first started to make it just for fun and then thought it might serve me as a visual shopping list. May be you would also find something here to inspire you in March?

SPRING IS COMING..

Yesterday we took a lovely walk in the forest... the weather was warm and the air all around soaked up with a fresh smell of awakening nature! Especially picturesque was the deep blue sky with fluffy clouds and sunrays! And though we still have snow but it has already started melting and the sun shows up more frequently proclaiming the so long-awaited coming out of Spring! Ok, enough words...here're some visual proofs;)

HAPPY FIRST DAY of SPRING and HAPPY CATS' DAY!

This Monday is marked with the two wonderful events: first, the longest-coldest-snowest winter we've ever had is oficially over (at least according to calendar) and second, I've just got to know that it is also an International Cats' Day!

To be honest, this day probably wouldn't differ too much from any other days, but why not to gladden our precious fur family members once again with a new toy and a favourite treat?!
