I often notice this style is much likely to be called Bohemian in Europe and US. I just wondered why and found the following explanation that the French word "bohemiens" was applied to nomadic groups of Gypsy/Romany people from Bohemia (a region of Czech Republic). In the 19th century this term was especially referred to a life style of impoverished artists, writers and musicians in France whose way of life found reflection in their ambient as well.
But, I see the term Bohemian is often time used to depict the way of life (or some attributes) of North American Indians and even hippies. Thus, to my mind, this is, practically, not right to mix up all this under one term.
Knowing the story, I might somehow agree that the label 'Bohemian' (in its initial meaning and as a design term) could be related to Gypsy lifestyle only - shabby textures, lot's of old/vintage things and abundance of details, plus a big inclination towards Orientalism - ok, so be it, then ;)
